Callers in the morning hours of Sunday, March 30, from the Angela-Chanslor neighborhood of South Pomona, reported that a police cruiser had been involved in a traffic accident and that there had been an injury. Upon further investigation, we learned that the victim was a homeless man named Michael, approximately in his mid-30s. Photos taken by neighbors showed a police cruiser half in the street and half on the sidewalk. Witnesses reported seeing the man, who had been riding his bicycle at the time, underneath the cruiser. They reported that he remained beneath the vehicle until retrieved by an ambulance. His condition is unknown. The story has not been covered by any of the mainstream news outlets? Could it be that the police are concerned about their negligent actions being viewed in a negative light? Could it be that they are using their power and influence to silence the press?
