According to news reports, deputies from the Los Angeles sheriff's department followed a "suspect" all the way to Apple Valley and shot him there. The shooting was filmed by a motorist stopped in his vehicle with his daughter, but the footage does not make clear the context of the encounter. At any rate, there are a lot of unanswered questions and other suspicious circumstances surrounding this latest incident of police violence in the IE. Here's a link to the video from KABC:

There was a news story on TV about this latest police killing by Fontana PD. Looks like it was a young Tongan or Pacific Islander brother that they are accusing of pointing a rifle at them. Here's a link:

Mainstream media outlets are reporting about a police shooting in Fontana. According to these reports, police were summoned to the Starbucks on Baseline after a call reporting somebody "suspicious." Evidently, things escalated to the point of the officer, one Joshua Patty, firing his weapon. Fortunately, Mr. Sims was unharmed, as the projectile did not enter his body. Unfortunately, however, Sims now stands accused of attempted murder of a police officer. Police are claiming that they found a knife among Mr. Sims' possessions.

Coverage of Justice for Jose Herrera city council action in the Daily Bulletin

We weren't sure if the mainstream media were going to cover Tusday's action, because the only journalist present there was David Allen, and he is much more of a "feel-good" author of fluff pieces than a beat reporter. But apparently this article was published yesterday, although I did not see it in the print edition. Here is a link and some of the text:
